Important: Read This First

This is the complete scanning software for the 7400c, 7450c and 7490c series of scanners. This software release includes support for Windows XP.

There is no third party software included.

The supporting operating systems are: Windows 95 and NT 4.0 (SCSI only) Windows 98, 2000, Me and XP (SCSI and USB)

NOTE: Due to the size of the download and the time it would take, HP recommends ordering the CD-ROM version rather than downloading the Web version of the driver without broadband (Cable, DSL, T1, or equivalent) Internet access. To order the full release CD, with all software features, use the "Back" button to display the previous page and select the software beginning with CD.

Installation Instructions:

Choose the file you want to download to your system. With your mouse, click on the file. The file will decompress into a default folder c:\sj677, or any folder of your choice. Go to c:\sj677 (or the folder you chose). Double-click on the file you downloaded. Click "Unzip" on the window that appears, then "OK" twice. The software will install automatically.
