The D-Link DFE-680TXD connects directly to the network, using a built in connector. The DFE-680TXD is hot swappable and offers a true plug-and-play solution for your laptop. It??s single connector connects to either 10 or 100BASE-T Ethernet completely without any need to set configuration. It detects the connected hub??s capability and auto-negotiates to use the highest available speed.
The D-Link DFE-680TXD supports full/half duplex operation is auto-detected in both 10 and 100BASE-T modes. In full-duplex, the notebook is connected to a switch on a dedicated segment. With transmission and reception taking place simultaneously, data transfer is doubled. Mobile users can thus hook to a network and turn their notebooks into power servers
